SENATOR CHRIS DODD - THE HABITUAL LIAR

IT'S TIME FOR CONNECTICUT TO STAND UP AND THROW THIS BUM OUT

Chris Dodd is a liar.  The Connecticut Senator is a flat out liar.  You good folks of Connecticut have been sending this liar back to the Senate for 30 years.  Is that what Connecticut is… a state of liars?  We’re supposed to send people to Washington who represents us.  Is that what you all are…. liars?  So you need a liar representing you?

Senator Dodd and the rest of his cohorts want your anger directed at people who work for AIG.  Some of those folks are just plain working people like us who were entitled to retention pay as part of private agreements made long ago.  If you were in their shoes and entitled to certain payments you would want them, you’d insist upon them and you’d even file lawsuits to get them, no matter what Chris Dodd and his drinking buddies in Washington say.  You are fixated on these people because Dodd, Frank, Schumer, Pelosi, Reid & Obama, need you to be outraged about individuals you don’t even know, who are sucked up in a political spin cycle.  These Washington doophusalia need you focused on that, otherwise you will direct your anger right where it belongs…. squarely on them.

Connecticut, the state that I know, is a state of good, honest hard-working people, with many employed in the insurance industry at every level, from top executives to administrative assistants.  The people of Connecticut need to step up and accept responsibility for contributing to the political nightmare in Washington.  It’s time for the people of the Constitution State, sometimes called the Nutmeg State, to stop sending this liar back to Washington.  He’s hurting the country, he’s hurting your state and he’s hurting every American citizen.

He’s not only a liar, he’s been one of the staunchest promoters, supporters and defenders of Fannie Mae and has been instrumental in pushing aggressive lending to expand home ownership to those who could not afford it.  He even personally received not one, but two preferential ‘VIP’ loans for himself from Countrywide.  And guess what.  He lied about those, too.  Not once, but twice.  He only disclosed his financial documents after being relentlessly pushed.  Full story here.

Last week The Senate Bank Committee Chairman, Chris Dodd, lied again, this time about specific language he authored in the $787 Billion Non-Stimulus plan he supported.  He claimed he had nothing to do with language that allowed exceptions for contractually obligated bonuses prior to certain dates.  Oh, but he was lying.  Turns out the specific language was called “the Dodd Amendment” by the Obama administration.  How the hell did that happen?  Who is using Dodd’s name to author amendments?  Whoops!  Dodd caught in another lie.  Dodd’s original amendment did not include the exemption and Dodd denied inserting that provision.  The idea for Dodd to employ the Flip Wilson Defense “the devil made him do it” wasn’t very appealing, so he eventually ratted out the Obama camp.  “I can't point a finger at someone who was responsible for putting those dates in,” Dodd originally told FOX.  “I can tell you this much, when my language left the senate, it did not include it.   When it came back, it did.”  Read a full description of Dodd’s latest lie here.

Connecticut, why has this hypocrite been your representative for 30 years?  You good people must take responsibility for sending this worm to Washington.  Turn your outrage away from the AIG bonuses to where it belongs to the people in Washington who are making bonehead decisions that are hurting your future.  Take responsibility.  The people of Connecticut must stop sending this lying blowhard back to Washington with senseless re-election after re-election.  This guy is living large off his power and he is so comfortable with lying it has become a daily occurrence.  Pretty soon the Connecticut State Nickname will be the Liars State if you send this dirt-bag back again.

Chris Dodd has cost the American people so much money he should be required to return every paycheck of his salary for the past 30 years, to be used to provide services and special assistance in Connecticut.  A specific State Bill should be written and passed to tax Dodd 100% of his back wages and to seize and sell his assets, including the homes which had the preferential mortgages, in order to recover much needed money for the state.

Dodd’s hypocrisy is alarming to the point that it extends directly to how he personally benefited financially from AIG.  Dodd was AIG’s largest single recipient of campaign donations during the 2008 election cycle with $103,100, according to opensecrets.org.  Now he and his slimy brethren want the public’s anger sidetracked toward AIG.  It seems Dodd knows when to cut a fervent supporter loose!  The Washingtonians appear to be succeeding with their PR spin as just this weekend professional activist protesters camped out at the home of AIG executive Douglas Polling, who has already agreed to return his bonus (story).  These protesters should be homesteading at the personal abodes of Dodd, Frank, Schumer, Waters & that whole sorry gang.  Perhaps these activists should listen to this CNBC interview with William Berkley and Fred Smith talking about how government is over-reacting with populist witch hunts on bonuses with the express purpose of directing heat away from themselves, where it rightfully belongs.  Hopefully those dopey protesters will wake up to realize where their energy should be focused and scoot over to the appropriate dwellings.

Connecticut, allow me to ask you a question with an old punch line.  How do you know when Chris Dodd is lying?  Answer: His lips are moving.  Every day Dodd is speaking he is probably lying about something.  His nonchalance in not telling the truth has become too comfortable.  This is a sickness.  We don’t need this devious mind involved in the important business of the American people.  It’s time to get rid of all the people in Washington who created, promoted and promulgated the housing initiatives that led to all that paper that resulted in AIG deciding to underwrite risk.

When government decided to support and back AIG and bring in Ed Liddy to run it, they needed to get 100% behind him and the company.  Success is not possible with a half-assed backing.  You commit to support the entire operation -- meaning its full balance sheet and daily operating requirements, with all of its obligations and with all of its counterparties.  You don’t start discriminating at a micromanagement level on how to manage its payables, receivables and marketing.  You don’t start telling them they can make payments on obligations to American companies but not European companies.  That is not getting behind the business.  That is undermining the business.  That is what Washington is doing right now.  Either get 100% behind the deal from the get-go on the terms you agree to, or don’t make the freakin’ deal.  And you definitely don’t rewrite the terms every time you find something you don’t like or something you overlooked.  You make a decision and you 100% commit to it.  You make a contract and you stick with it and go from there.  That’s the deal.

For some teachers, electricians, clerks, salespeople, postmen, waitresses, scientists, truck drivers, cashiers, chefs, engineers and other hard working professionals and students who are not professional “business” people in the sense of leading, organizing and managing large corporations or working with contracts, it may be difficult (although not that difficult) to wrap your minds around what I just said in the prior paragraph.  As a retired business professional, investor, venture capitalist and former money manager, I can assure each of you that to allow a business to succeed, you find the right leadership and then back that leadership with everything you have.  Note the phrase “everything you have.”  The Senate & House doophusalia committed our tax money to become majority (80%) owners of AIG and now every action Washington takes is serving to undermine our investment and reduce the odds of success.  Let’s focus our anger on the Washington officials who are both the originators of and the current sources of the problems, not on some innocent people who are really like you and me who were hired to perform a job.

Dodd is so at ease with lying to the American people that he has lies written into his own bio on his web site.
Here’s one lie:
A respected legislator who works in a bipartisan fashion to better peoples’ lives, Chris Dodd is known for his work to make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous.  Here’s another lie:  A common-sense leader who has long fought to put our nation’s fiscal house in order, and who has offered targeted tax relief for working families.

Did I just read that to say “targeted tax relief”?  Doesn’t he really mean targeted taxation?  Just another Chris Dodd lie from a professional hypocrite who’s brawny ideology for promoting broad home ownership at any price led to the financial meltdown.

Connecticut, the solution starts with you.  Set the example so that New Yorkers will see from your model what must happen with Chuck Schumer.  And Massachusetts can learn what must be done with Barney Frank.  And hopefully the loons in California will eventually figure out that it’s long past time for Pelosi to pack her bags before she does any more damage, and that they must send Maxine Waters a message that her undying promotion and support of Fannie Mae is an unacceptable outrage that helped lead to this mess…. they can toss out those other losers Boxer, Sherman & Waxman while they are at it.

Connecticut, wake up.  Wake up, Connecticut.  Take responsibility.  It’s up to each individual to steer our own anger where it really belongs.  We are in this together.  You have the vote, therefore you have the power.  Quit sending this creepy, scammy, liar and fraud back to Washington.  I do not believe he represents in any way, shape or form who you are as a people.  When you look in the mirror do you see a liar?  Do you see a cheat?  Do you see a promoter of unchecked aggressive lending?  Do you see a person who uses power to personally gain unfair advantage over the people you represent?  Connecticut is the “Constitution State” and to uphold that noble distinction, Connecticut should be the FIRST state to remove the privilege of serving from those who have abused it and promoted misguided policies and who now want to focus blame on everyone but themselves.  Start with not re-electing the liar, Christopher Dodd.

At noon on Monday, wherever you are, at home, at work, at school – stop for a moment, open your doors, your windows, your car windows, and scream at the top of your lungs, ”Chris Dodd you are a confirmed habitual liar, you are not who we are, you do not represent us and you are DONE”.  It’s time for Connecticut to lead the way to the future.  It’s time for America to focus on the real problem…. the people in Washington who promoted, sponsored and defended aggressive lending.  Throw the bums out.  Stand up, Connecticut.  Stand up, Connecticut.  Stand UP!  Six words for you Connecticut, to take to heart: Liars, Hell No! … Dodd Must Go!!!   (Repeat it 35 times)
